Audio-Visual Assistant I/II in the Department of Media and Communication [Ref. C/438/09]


Duties

Assist in the management and operation of the video/audio equipment and broadcasting systems (especially a 3D virtual studio, a television news studio and a video editing laboratory); provide visual media editing, administrative and operational support for professional services and teaching-related activities in the laboratories; and perform any other duties as assigned.

 


Requirements

5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 2 years’ relevant working experience.  A Master’s degree in new media/television broadcasting is preferred.  Good knowledge of and skills in AV production arts and multimedia software (such as the operation of 3D virtual studio, television news studio and various 2-4K digital cameras); experience in using Final Cut Pro, Premiere, Audition, After Effects, and InDesign; good command of written and spoken English are required.  Proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage.  Candidates with more than 6 years’ relevant post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Audio-Visual Assistant I.

 


Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
