Multi-cultural Centre Project (MCC Project)


Duties

Reporting to the Associate Director (Student Life and Resources), the appointee will be responsible for:

  1. Facilitating and coordinating the organization of multi-cultural performances and workshops;
  2. Liaising with and fostering the cooperation with various students and student organizations to promote interaction amongst local and non-local students of the University;
  3. Managing the operation and promotion of the Multi-cultural Centre;
  4. Managing the MCC Project (developing the activity plan and budget proposal, monitoring progress, assessing project effectiveness against its objective as well as preparing progress and annual project reports); and
  5. Engaging with students regularly to encourage their continued participation.


The appointee is also required to work flexible hours on a need basis, and perform any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  1. A good honours degree or an equivalent qualification with relevant working experience, preferably in higher education/community services;
  2. Ability to plan, coordinate events and programs independently;
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills;
  4. An enthusiastic attitude of service and care, with a dynamic personality;
  5. Good problem-solving skills, resourcefulness and self-motivation;
  6. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
  7. Working knowledge of computer applications.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
