Technical Officer in the Campus Development Office (Appointment up to 30 June 2023) [Ref. A/R/1084/09]

 


Duties

  1. Assist the Project Manager in capital and various renovation projects;
  2. Manage, coordinate and supervise contractors’ work on alterations, additions and building maintenance;
  3. Liaise with user departments on day-to-day renovation and maintenance works;
  4. Coordinate with the University’s units to do on-site survey of rooms and facilities independently;
  5. Check and ascertain the actual situation is the same as existing records on drawings, approval plans and documents;
  6. Create records of new facilities items and update existing space inventory, drawing and operation records accurately; and
  7. Perform any other duties as assigned.



Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree/Higher Diploma/Higher Certificate or equivalent in Architecture/Building Services/Building Surveying/Quantity Surveying or related disciplines, with at least 3 years' relevant working experience and a valid safety training course certificate (commonly known as “Green Card”).  Ability to communicate effectively with people from different background and professions, a strong sense of responsibility with multi-tasking skills, being self-motivated, ability to complete tasks under tight schedules, proficiency in IT skills and MS Office (including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), and good command of written and spoken English and Chinese are required.  Ability to use AutoCAD, with knowledge of Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM) would be an advantage.
