Manager (Audit) (at the rank of Supervisory Executive Officer) in the Campus Development Office [Ref. A/342/09]


Duties

Plan and conduct internal audits for construction, renovation and maintenance projects on a regular basis for effective governance; review and advise on internal procedures to ensure compliance of the University’s policies and procedures as well as statutory requirements; develop and draft guidelines and standards to achieve the best practices; coordinate meetings and all documentation to external audit units; communicate with all levels of staff and stakeholders to ensure completion of audits; follow up on audit findings to ensure timely and proper resolutions; set up and lead a team of internal auditors; and perform any other assignments.

Requirements

A good honours degree, with a valid safety training course certificate (commonly known as “Green Card”) or equivalent issued by organisations recognised by the Commissioner for Labour, and at least 10 years’ relevant experience.  Extensive experience in auditing large development projects in Hong Kong and Mainland China; ability to use AutoCAD; excellent report writing skills in both Chinese and English; self-motivation for performance enhancement; proven ability to complete tasks efficiently and independently within tight schedules as well as good analytical and interpersonal skills are required.  Substantial experience in higher educational institutions and/or experience in handling government projects are preferred. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and housing benefits (where applicable).
