Manager (Building Information Modelling) (at the rank of Supervisory Executive Officer) in the Campus Development Office [Ref. A/316/09]


Duties

Plan, build and manage new 3D Building Information Modelling (BIM) models and content of existing University buildings; assist project managers in reviewing BIM models of new capital projects to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards; produce BIM model specifications, drawings, schedules and clash analyses to improve the ways to construct and operate buildings; schedule training for staff in various BIM software (including Revit and AutoCAD); monitor the performance of BIM modellers to build new BIM models; provide advice on hardware and software support related to BIM production; and perform any other assignments.

Requirements

A good honours degree, with a valid safety training course certificate (commonly known as “Green Card”) or equivalent issued by organisations recognised by the Commissioner for Labour, and at least 10 years' relevant experience (of which 7 years hands-on experience in BIM software and 2 years at managerial level).  In-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions, excellent IT proficiency to build an effective record management system, good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, being responsible with strong problem solving and organizational skills are required.  Candidates should be a self-starter, with the drive to pursue continuing studies on BIM.  Professional qualification in Revit is preferred.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and housing benefits (where applicable).
