Clerical Officer I/II in the Finance Office [Ref. A/240/09]

Duties

  1. Report to the Executive Officer of a functionally focused team in one of the following areas, and be responsible in daily management and supervision of a small sub-team:
    • Research Project Accounting/Reporting
    • Treasury/Investment/Cashflow Management
    • Tuition Fee Income, Government Subvention, Donation and Other Receipts
    • Payment and Account Payables
    • Staff Disbursement
  2. Prepare timely regular and ad-hoc reports and analyses to support management decisions; and
  3. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.



Requirements

5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 6 years’ relevant experience in universities/NGOs/sizable organizations. Preference will be given to candidates with a good honours degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related disciplines, being a qualified accountant and/or a member of recognized professional accounting bodies.  Excellent communication skills with good command of English and Putonghua; being self-initiative with good supervisory skills; ability to work independently and being a good team player are required. 

Proficiency in PC skills and experience in Oracle Financials/other ERP system are preferred.  Strong background and working experience in payroll and pension schemes will also be considered. 

Candidates with lower qualifications or less experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer II.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
