Teach and supervise students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including BA, MA, MPhil and PhD; undertake administrative duties in academic programmes and student activities.
A PhD with a focus on Chinese History. Two vacancies are available in the fields of (a) Ancient Chinese History/Archaeology, and (b) Chinese History (before Ming dynasty).
Candidates with substantial working experience in academic/research institutions and interest in interdisciplinary studies are especially welcome. Relevant teaching and/or professional experience, strong research and administrative ability, and a proven record of publications are preferred. Successful candidates are expected to use both Chinese and English as the medium of instruction and assume duty as soon as possible.
Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
