The Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering is interested in developing its expertise in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering and nuclear engineering.

Duties

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervise research students, conduct research, and perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

Applicants with a PhD and strong background in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering and nuclear engineering are invited for faculty positions at all levels. Preference will be given to candidates with specialties in the areas of Instrumentation and Measurement, Robotics and Automation, Advanced Manufacturing, Fluidics and Dynamics, Biomedical Devices and Sensors, Cellular and Tissue Engineering, Biomedical Imaging, Neural Engineering, Biomechanics, and Nuclear Engineering. Candidates must be committed to high quality teaching for a diverse student body at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Outstanding candidates in other areas will also be considered. Successful candidates are expected to possess a solid disciplinary foundation and demonstrated potentials/records of outstanding scholarship in both teaching and research.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance.  Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable).  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
