Research Assistant in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. C/R/185/09]

 

Duties

Assist the Departmental Coordinator of Research and Knowledge Transfer in further developing and evidencing the research impact across various academic disciplines, including Social Work/Psychology/Sociology/Criminology and Counselling, and in enhancing research environment to prepare for the Research Assessment Exercise 2020;  provide support to academics to prepare for impact case studies; coordinate and liaise internal and external review exercises; collect data and evidence for the RAE submission; organize seminars, conferences and other research related activities; and perform any other duties as assigned by RAE Coordinator and/or Head.

Requirements

A good honours degree in Social Sciences or related disciplines.  Systematic, good communication and organizational skills are required.  Knowledge of social research and previous working experience in website development are preferred.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
