Research Associate/Research Assistant at the Statistical Consulting Unit in the Department of Management Sciences (Appointment for 12 months with possibility of extension) [Ref. B/R/834/09]

 

The Department of Management Sciences has attained international recognition, and has a strong group of researchers specializing in operations management and business analytics.

The Statistical Consulting Unit is a full-service statistical unit set up by the Department of Management Sciences. It provides a wide variety of services (including consulting, data collection and processing) to the community.

Duties

Provide advice on statistical methodology, computation in academic and applied research; and conduct projects assigned by the Director of the Unit.

Requirements

A Master’s degree/good honours degree in Statistics or related disciplines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.  Demonstrated consulting experience would be an advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
