Research Assistant in the School of Law (Appointment for 12 months commencing from January 2019 with possibility of extension) [Ref. B/R/816/09]

 

Project

Human Rights Law and Policy Forum (HRLF)

HRLF brings together multidisciplinary experts on human rights from the School of Law. The Forum provides a platform for discussion and knowledge exchange, and develops global collaborations with the aim to establishing itself a preeminent human rights institution in Asia.

Duties

Assist in logistics arrangements related to organizing conferences/seminars/ workshops/roundtables/clinics (including making travel arrangements for overseas speakers, arranging venues and preparing other related arrangements); conduct research and assist in preparing funding applications; maintain contact and communicate with stakeholders of HRLF; maintain and update HRLF website; manage HRLF social media platforms; and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A Master’s degree/good honours degree in Law or related disciplines, preferably with research and/or administrative experience.  Excellent command of written and spoken English; excellent writing and editing skills with good computer knowledge and administrative sense; good interpersonal and organizational skills; and ability to work independently with minimal supervision are required.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
