Administrative Officer (Research Studies) (at the rank of Executive Officer I/II) in the Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies [Ref. E/254/09]

 

Duties

Provide administrative support on postgraduate student matters.  Main duties include day-to-day administration of student records and related work processes, support on development and enhancement of computerized systems and system implementation, generation and preparation of statistics, coordination of projects initiated by the School and collaboration projects with Mainland universities, and any other assignments.

Travels to Mainland China and other countries will be required.

Requirements

A good honours degree in Information Technology/Statistics or related disciplines, with at least 2 years’ post-qualification working experience.  Good command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua), experience in system implementation and monitoring contractors to deliver IT solutions, ability to attend to details and work independently, strong sense of responsibility, competence in statistical applications, and good IT skills with solid experience in MS Office applications (in particular Access, Excel) are required.  Candidates with more than 7 years’ relevant experience may be considered for appointment at the rank of Executive Officer I.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
