Accounting Assistant (at the rank of Clerical Officer II) in the School of Veterinary Medicine [Ref. E/223/09]


Duties

Assist in preparing financial analyses and financial statements, billing management and data entry; undertake administrative duties in support of the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory operations, answer phone and email enquiries; handle and resolve enquiries from stakeholders; and perform any other duties as assigned.

Holiday and weekend rotations are required.

 

Requirements

A Higher Diploma in Accountancy with 5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics and at least 2 years’ relevant working experience.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in computer skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word-processing); strong interpersonal, multitasking and organizational skills; and ability to work independently and in a team are required.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.


Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance.  A competitive salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.  The appointment might be under a subsidiary of CityU.   Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
