Temporary IT Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer II) in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (Appointment until 30 June 2019) [Ref. D/R/072/09]


Duties

Reporting to the Senior Manager (e-Learning), the appointee will support the UGC-funded projects on the development and adoption of flipped classroom and gamification of learning at CityU.  Main duties include to:

  1. Enable teaching and learning by providing support in the use of digital technology (including badges and leaderboards);
  2. Facilitate learning activities and assessment tasks inside and outside the classroom;
  3. Produce courseware in the form of game, audio/video, animation, photograph and infographic; and
  4. Solve technical issues encountered by users and collect users’ feedback.


Requirements

  1. A good honours degree in Information Technology/Creative Media or related disciplines with 2 years’ relevant working experience;
  2. Proven experience in digital gaming and/or media production;
  3. Knowledge of multimedia production software and hardware; and
  4. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.


Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
