Assistant IT Manager (Mobile Apps) in the Enterprise Solutions Office [Ref. D/281/09]

 

CityU’s Enterprise Solutions Office (ESU) is responsible for implementing and managing the University’s central information systems and enterprise content management system.  Working in partnership with departments to integrate information technology into administrative processes, the Enterprise Solutions Office aspires to provide efficient services to students, staff, alumni, and the University administration.


Duties

  1. Develop and maintain hybrid mobile apps and native libraries;
  2. Develop API modules on central microservices platform;
  3. Document system specifications, test plans, upgrade or migration plans, etc.;
  4. Evaluate and suggest up-to-date technology for mobile applications; and
  5. Undertake any duties as assigned.

 


Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ relevant post-qualification work experience;
  2. Experience in liaising with stakeholders for user requirements;
  3. Practical experience in mobile/web technology stack (e.g. Swift, Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, REST);
  4. Eagerness to explore and adopt cutting-edge technologies, and passion for delivering user-centric products;
  5. Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua;
  6. Ability to work independently and under pressure are required;
  7. Experience in development of .NET applications (web form and MVC), AJAX, JQuery, Bootstrap, Azure web apps, modern development tools and models (e.g. Git/CI/Docker/Serverless) is preferred; and
  8. Solid knowledge of web application security, with Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Certification or equivalent would be definitely an advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
