Assistant IT Manager in the Enterprise Solutions Office [Ref. D/250/09]

 

Enterprise Solutions Office at City University of Hong Kong manages the University’s Information Systems covering Student Information System, Human Resources Management System, Finance Information System, and other related IT systems and services to support the University’s operations.


Duties

Assist the manager to ensure the delivery of projects tasks on schedule, provide production support to users, develop, test, implement and deploy applications and systems with high quality, work on ad-hoc assignments and undertake any other duties as assigned by the Director.

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in IT system implementation and maintenance;
  2. Good project management skills;
  3. Substantial design and programming experience in enterprise systems and modern platforms;
  4. User-oriented UX/UI design mindset;
  5. Proven track record of implementation of information systems at the enterprise level, and rapid delivery of urgent and important projects and tasks;
  6. Willingness to take up new challenges and initiatives, and the ability to bring a positive can-do attitude in the work environment;
  7. Sound knowledge of Oracle DBMS, Java, PL/SQL, and modern web/mobile technologies and platforms; and
  8. Good communication skills.


Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.


Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
