Associate IT Officer/Assistant IT Officer in the Computing Services Centre [Ref. D/206/09]

 

The appointee will be involved in various projects (e.g. mobile application development, API development, and Internet of Things (IoT) deployment).

Duties

  1. Develop and maintain hybrid mobile apps and native libraries;
  2. Assist in API development on our microservices platform;
  3. Contribute to agile development process;
  4. Involve in technology exploration and evaluation; and
  5. Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  1. A good honours degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Engineering or related disciplines, with 2 years' relevant working experience in mobile/frontend development;
  2. Practical experience in mobile/web technology stack (e.g. Swift, Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, REST);
  3. Eager to explore and adopt cutting-edge technologies, and being passionate about delivering user-centric products;
  4. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  5. Understanding of modern development tools and models (e.g. Git/CI/Docker/Serverless) would be an advantage.

 

Candidates holding Associate Degree/Higher Diploma with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant IT Officer.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
