Development Manager (at the rank of Supervisory Executive Officer) in the Development Office [Ref. D/186/09]

 

Duties

Reporting to the Director of Development Office, the appointee will play a key role in raising funds for the University from individual prospects and corporations.  S/he is expected to work with various internal academic and administrative units, as well as external donors, prospects and stakeholders.  Main duties include developing fundraising strategies and programmes, identifying and cultivating prospects, soliciting donations, organizing stewardship activities, and administering reports.

Requirements

A Master’s degree/good honours degree with at least 10 years’ post-qualification working experience.  Fundraising experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, outstanding organizing ability, and excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese are required.  Proficiency in Putonghua is preferred.  Preference will be given to candidates who have sound credentials in fundraising for education or philanthropic purposes.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and housing benefits (where applicable).
