IT Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer II)/Associate IT Officer (at the rank of Programmer I) in the Enterprise Solutions Office [Ref. D/164/09]


The appointee will be involved in various projects such as Business Intelligence (BI), web content management, enterprise data architecture, Internet of Things (IoT).

Duties

  1. Manage and enhance Drupal 8 codebase (including contributed and custom modules using GitHub);
  2. Support various web-redesign projects, and assist in designing content architecture;
  3. Design and maintain middleware solutions;
  4. Take part in BI projects to design dashboards for management reporting and evidence-based decision making; and
  5. Assist in smart campus initiatives which involve IoT deployment, mobile apps development and various system integration.


Requirements

  1. A good honours degree in Information Technology/Computer Engineering/Computer Science or related disciplines;
  2. At least 3 years' relevant working experience in building websites with Drupal, and/or building dashboards using Qlik Sense;
  3. Being self-motivated, creative and responsible;
  4. Good technical skills on HTML/PHP/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery skills, and website theming skills using Twig template engine; and
  5. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably in Putonghua).


Candidates holding an Associate Degree/with less experience or fresh graduates with proficiency in application skills may be considered for appointment as Assistant IT Officer.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
