Associate IT Officer/Assistant IT Officer (at the rank of Programmer I/II) in the Enterprise Solutions Office [Ref. D/150/09]

 

Duties

Joining a team of IT professional staff, the appointee will develop, maintain and support application systems for the administrative offices.  Main duties include development of whole system process, provision of user and hardware/software support, and performing any other job-related assignments.

 

Requirements

  1. A good honours degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related disciplines;
  2. At least 2 years' relevant post-qualification working experience in programming, system/software development using technologies in web, database, and/or mobile applications;
  3. Good analytical mind;
  4. Ability to attend to details, work independently as well as cooperatively and collegially with colleagues;
  5. Demonstrated professionalism with strong motivation, innovation, flexibility and commitment;
  6. Good interpersonal skills; and
  7. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

 

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment of Assistant IT Officer.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.



Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
