Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist in the Department of Biomedical Sciences [Ref. C/640/09]

Duties

Responsible for providing high-quality service to academic staff and students in biomedical sciences and related teaching programmes.  Main duties include to:

Shift duty and working on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays may be required.

Requirements

A Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ working experience in research or clinical/medical laboratory in a university.  Familiarity with histopathology, cytology, clinical chemistry, medical microbiology and/or hematology is required.  Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLT) Board registration is preferred.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
