Clerical Officer I/II [Post 1: Ref. C/524/09 & Post 2: Ref. C/534/09]
in the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences



Duties

For post (1), as Personal Assistant to the College Dean, the appointee will provide executive support of a substantial and confidential nature to the Dean and coordinate the office’s daily activities by performing a wide range of administrative and financial functions which include, but not limited to, managing diary, coordinating correspondence, scheduling meetings and appointments, organizing travel plans, preparing documents and reports, and serving as a contact point with a diverse group of internal and external parties.

The incumbent will also perform administrative duties in support of the College’s general office operation (including support for academic programmes and committees, procurement and accounting management, event coordination), and any other duties as assigned.

For post (2), perform a wide range of clerical and administrative duties in support of the operation of the College’s general office. Duties include academic programme administration, student support services, event coordination, committee support, procurement and accounting, office management, and any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics with at least 2 years’ clerical experience.  Good command of written and spoken English (fluency in English is highly preferred) and Chinese (including Putonghua), good organizational and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and under pressure are required. 

Candidates with at least 6 years’ relevant working experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
