Administrative Assistant (Research Studies) (at the rank of Clerical Officer I/II) in the Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies [Ref. C/523/09]

 

Duties

Provide clerical support to the School in all matters related to research studies (e.g. admission, examinations and records, financial awards, and committee servicing back-up) and assist in daily office operation.  The appointee may be required to work flexible hours (including manning the School counter during extended office hours), and travel to the Mainland China and other countries.

Requirements

5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics with at least 2 years’ clerical experience.  Good command of written and spoken English, good interpersonal and computer skills (including MS Office, Excel and Chinese word-processing), and ability to work independently are required.  Proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage.

Candidates with more than 6 years’ relevant working experience may be considered for appointment at the rank of Clerical Office I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
