Technical Officer in the Office of the Vice-President (Development and External Relations) [Ref. C/429/09]

 

The appointee will work for an inter-institutional project on coding education and computational thinking for upper primary schools.  The project aims at strengthening the logical thinking and problem-solving skills of the students, as well as cultivating their interest and motivation in coding and computational education.

 

Duties

  1. Provide technical support to daily operations and activities of the project;
  2. Assist in sourcing and acquisition of software and equipment;
  3. Offer administrative and logistics support to workshops and seminars, both on and off campus; and
  4. Perform any other duties as assigned.


Irregular working hours and work in weekends may be required.



Requirements

  1. A good honours degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related disciplines;
  2. High proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  3. Good analytical mind, organizational and problem-solving skills;
  4. Ability to attend to details and work independently; and
  5. Being a good team player, highly-motivated, enthusiastic and responsible.

 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
