Senior Manager/Manager (Campus Planning) (at the rank of Assistant Registrar/Supervisory Executive Officer) in the Campus Development Office [Ref. C/425/09]


Duties

Reporting to the Director of Campus Development, the appointee will be responsible for the strategic planning, administration and management of campus master plan, campus space planning and allocation, associated capital projects development, and Alterations, Additions and Improvements (AA&I) projects of the University.  S/he will lead or play a key role in projects of varying nature and scope which may require close liaison and coordination with different stakeholders of the University and/or external parties.  Main duties include to: develop and implement the University’s campus master plan executed via capital development and AA&I projects, coordinate university committee work and other matters (such as submission for UGC capital project funding application, feasibility study, capital project initiation and management, procurement of fixture and furniture/equipment), and perform any other assignments.



Requirements

A good honours degree in Construction/Engineering/Professional Communication Studies with more than 15 years’ relevant experience in strategic planning or project administration, preferably in higher education institutions in Hong Kong/the Mainland China.  Being outgoing and self-motivated; ability to work independently, and excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese are required.  Knowledge of Putonghua is preferred.  Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Manager (Campus Planning).  Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.



Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and housing benefits (where applicable).
