Quarters Management Officer (at the rank of Technical Officer) in the Facilities Management Office [Ref. C/399/09]


Duties

  1. Manage University staff and visitor quarters;
  2. Supervise a team of in-house members for repair and maintenance work in quarters;
  3. Supervise contractors in the areas of cleaning, housekeeping service, security, repair and maintenance;
  4. Liaise with internal and external parties on daily matters;
  5. Prepare reports and stock records;
  6. Assist in procurement and other coordination work; and
  7. Perform any other duties as assigned.


Work outside normal office hours may be required.

 

Requirements

A good honours degree/Higher Diploma/Higher Certificate in Housing Management/Building Technology/Engineering or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ relevant working experience in housing or facilities management.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, strong sense of responsibility and teamwork, good interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and under pressure, as well as proficiency in computer knowledge and word-processing are required.


Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
