Event Coordination Officer (at the rank of Technical Officer) in the Facilities Management Office [Ref. C/398/09]


Duties

  1. Liaise with users and offer advice for venue set-up and logistics services for the events;
  2. Supervise a team of contractor workers for setting up display units and provision of logistics and associated services;
  3. Maintain regular stock check and records of essential inventories;
  4. Prepare job records and filing work;
  5. Assist in procurement and other coordination work; and
  6. Perform any other duties as assigned.


Work outside normal office hours may be required.

 

Requirements

A good honours degree/Higher Diploma/Higher Certificate in Event Management/Facilities Management or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in customer service.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good interpersonal skills, being self-motivated and attentive to details, ability to work independently and under pressure, as well as proficiency in computer knowledge and word-processing are required.  Experience in theatre management or AV services is preferred.


Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
