Senior Associate Director/Associate Director (at the rank of Senior Assistant Registrar/Assistant Registrar) in the Development Office [Ref. C/350/09]

 

In a strategic move to further strengthen the fast developing Institutional Advancement functions of the University, the University is looking for seasoned and dynamic fundraising professionals to take up a number of strategic positions in the Development Office which is one of the key offices under the leadership of the Vice-President (Development and External Relations).

Duties

Reporting to the Director of Development, the appointee will play a key role in raising funds for the University from individual prospects and corporations, including those outside Hong Kong, and coordinate related fundraising efforts. S/he is expected to take a proactive approach to develop fundraising strategies, identify and cultivate prospects, solicit donations and organize stewardship activities.


Requirements

A Master’s degree/good honours degree with strong connections and good knowledge of Hong Kong’s tertiary education.  Strong communication and leadership skills, outstanding organizing ability, and excellent command of written and spoken Chinese are required.  Preference will be given to candidates who have sound credentials in fundraising for education or philanthropic purposes.

Candidates with sufficient leadership experience in fundraising may be considered for appointment as Senior Associate Director.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and housing benefits (where applicable).
