Executive Officer I/II in the College of Business [Ref. B/372/09]

 

Duties

The appointee will be responsible for providing executive level management support to the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme in collaboration with a top-ranked university in Mainland China.  Main duties include to:

  1. Develop and implement marketing/promotion strategies to reach out to various communities for programme promotion, identify and liaise with prospective executive students, develop and maintain timely the programme PR materials (e.g. brochures, website, advertisement and social media);
  2. Provide administrative support to Programme Directors and oversee day-to-day operation of the programme, including but not limited to budget, academic administration, student services, and supervision of supporting staff;
  3. Build and maintain a good relationship with students and alumni, and provide student support in a prompt and professional manner;
  4. Plan and organize various outreach and programme activities (e.g. orientation programme, events, forums, annual dinners, and seminars); and
  5. Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Occasional travels to Mainland/overseas may be required.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in executive programme development and management.  Being self-driven, and committed to work effectively under pressure and multi-tasking; strong interpersonal, communication skills and good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (proficiency in Putonghua is a must) to interact with a range of internal and external stakeholders (e.g. executive students and alumni, professors, the university administrative units, media, and the mainland partner institute); and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.  Experience or working knowledge of higher education, EMBA/MBA programmes and business education would be an advantage.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
