Manager/Assistant Manager in the Global Engagement Office [Ref. B/355/09]

 

Duties

Reporting to the Associate Director of the Office, the appointee will be responsible for:

  1. Recruiting non-local students through school visits and social media promotion;
  2. Conducting market research to identify potential opportunities for non-local student recruitment;
  3. Cultivating student exchange partnerships and other collaborative arrangements;
  4. Promoting CityU at international conferences and image building events;
  5. Implementing other internationalisation programmes;
  6. Coordinating and arranging visit programmes for delegations from overseas institutions;
  7. Performing any other duties as assigned.

 

Overseas travels will be required.

Requirements

A good honours degree with at least 7 years’ post-qualification experience.  Ability to identify and analyse market intelligence in support of international recruitment and partnership cultivation; good IT and social media skills preferred; excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills (including the ability to work effectively with senior colleagues within the University and external stakeholders such as school principals, counsellors, alumni, and key players in the higher education community); excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills; ability to interact with and understand the needs of non-local students; and being flexible and prepared for changes in job assignments are required.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Manager.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
