Clerical Officer I/II in the Department of Economics and Finance [Ref. B/354/09]

 

Duties

The appointee will perform a wide range of administrative support to the Head of Department, general office and postgraduate office. For example, managing diary, scheduling meetings and appointments, coordinating incoming visits of guests, liaising with university departments and external parties.

The appointee will also provide clerical support to the Department on human resources matters, programmes and event management, marketing and promotion, academic and student support services; and perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, preferably with a good honours degree and 3 years’ relevant experience.  Good experience in academic programme support, student servicing and event support; good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); being self-motivated with excellent organizational skills, with ability to work independently and as a team are required. 

Candidates with more than 6 years’ relevant working experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
