MBA Career Manager in the College of Business [Ref. B/332/09]

 

Duties

The appointee will work closely with the MBA management team to perform the following major duties:

  1. Plan and implement career-related activities (i.e. career counselling, training and workshop, business mentoring, business trek, etc.) to prepare students for career success;
  2. Develop strong and ongoing relationships with external organizations to secure placement networks and expand employment opportunities for students and recent graduates;
  3. Establish and maintain relationships with MBA alumni through outreach efforts to increase alumni engagement;
  4. Manage the day-to-day operation of  the MBA career services;
  5. Provide administrative support for the MBA Office; and
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

The appointee will be required to work on irregular hours (including evenings, Saturdays and Sundays).  Occasional travels outside Hong Kong may also be required.

Requirements

A good honours degree with at least 7 years’ relevant working experience. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good interpersonal, technical, critical and analytical skills with a flexible and creative approach to problem solving; and strong self-motivation with the ability to work independently to meet tight timelines are required.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a presentation and written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
