Executive Officer II in the Student Development Services [Ref. B/324/09]

 

Duties

Reporting to the Associate Director (Student Life and Resources), the appointee will be responsible for:

  1. Management of various university scholarship and financial assistance schemes by liaising with potential/existing donors and award recipients, implementing tailor-made nomination/selection exercises, preparing relevant correspondence and reports for the University and donors;
  2. Management of various HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund Schemes and financial assistance schemes by liaising with government departments and relevant work partners in the University, preparing statistics and reports for government’s auditing exercises;
  3. Providing advice to candidates or recipients of scholarships and/or financial assistance schemes, and organizing relevant briefing sessions;
  4. Organizing training programmes for award recipients, arranging interviews and coordinating the video production for success stories;
  5. Assisting in maintaining students’ scholarship records in University record system and management of scholarship online application system;
  6. Providing secretarial support to university committee work; and
  7. Undertaking any other projects/assignments.

 

Requirements

A good honours degree with 2 years’ working experience.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) are required.  Relevant experience in youth services or fund management would be an advantage.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
