Project Officer in the Office of the Vice-President (Student Affairs) [Ref. B/322/09]



Reporting to the Director (Student Development Services), the appointees will be responsible for:

  1. Planning, developing, implementing and executing projects to enhance internationalisation and student learning experience;
  2. Organising overseas study and cultural immersion tours / service-learning activities;
  3. Promoting and executing projects for community engagement and volunteer services;
  4. Engaging with students regularly to encourage their continued participation;
  5. Developing outcome measures and collecting evidence for assessing programme impacts;
  6. Preparing reports of the corresponding projects; and
  7. Performing any other duties as assigned.


The appointee is required to work flexible hours on a need basis.


  1. A good honours degree with at least 3 years’ relevant post-qualification working experience, preferably in higher education or social science;
  2. Experience in overseas community services programmes and project management would be an advantage;
  3. Ability to plan, coordinate events and programmes independently;
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  5. An enthusiastic attitude of service and care, and a dynamic personality;
  6. Good problem solving skills, resourcefulness and self-motivation; and
  7. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
