Clerical Officer I/II in the Department of Information Systems [Ref. B/301/09]

 

Duties

  1. Provide administrative and clerical support to programmes and courses at undergraduate and graduate levels as well as inbound and outbound student exchange matters;
  2. Carry out house-keeping tasks in the departmental general office, and other assigned or ad hoc duties (e.g. conferences and research workshops);
  3. Handle student and staff enquires on programmes and courses (i.e. walk-in, phone and email enquiries);
  4. Update and maintain student records and course syllabus, and perform general editing work on printed and non-printed materials; and
  5. Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisory Executive Officer, Associate Head and Head of Department.


The appointee may be required to work flexible hours on Saturday.

Requirements

  1. 5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 2 years’ working experience;
  2. Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required, and knowledge of Photoshop, Chinese word processing and MS Access would be an advantage;
  3. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  4. Good interpersonal and communication skills; and
  5. Ability to work under tight schedules.


Candidates with more than 6 years’ working experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
