Executive Officer I/II in the College of Business [Ref. B/289/09]

 

Duties

Provide administrative support to the College Office on the management of EMBA (Chinese) programme.  Major duties include programme and event management, marketing and promotion of programmes, committee servicing, academic and student support services, alumni relations and development, and coordination of ad-hoc projects initiated by the College, as well as liaison with departments and units within and outside the University.  The appointee is also required to assist in supervising a small team of supporting staff; and may be required to work irregular hours and travel regularly to the Mainland China and other countries.

Requirements

A good honours degree with at least 7 years’ relevant post-qualification experience.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a good business sense; being pleasant, self-motivated and energetic; solid skills in interacting with various stakeholders (e.g. students, alumni, companies, and media); and ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure, and solve problems with tact and diplomacy are required.  Knowledge of and experience in business education in the Mainland China are preferred.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
