Executive Officer II in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences [Ref. B/245/09]



The appointee will assist the College Office in matters relating to publicity, marketing, publications and other administrative duties.  Main duties include to:

  1. Assist in the production of a range of publicity materials to promote the College (including magazine, brochure, website, advertorial, video, etc.);
  2. Provide administrative support to the College Office (including the College Editorial Board);
  3. Organize marketing and promotion activities to promote the College to students, alumni, faculties and donors;
  4. Organize and co-ordinate programmes for cultivation and relationship building activities and events;
  5. Organize and co-ordinate executive trainings for external organizations in Hong Kong and the Mainland China;
  6. Organize conferences and seminars, and support the development for Global China Studies as an interdisciplinary research platform; and
  7. Perform any other duties as assigned.



A good honours degree with a minimum of 5 years' administrative experience, preferably in the higher education sector.  Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; good presentation, organizational and communication skills; excellent data interpretation and report-writing skills; being self-motivated and ability to work independently.  Proficiency in Putonghua and database management is preferred.  Experience in administration, fundraising, public relations and marketing would be an advantage.

Working outside office hours for attending meetings and/or participating in events and activities will be required.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
