Audio-Visual Assistant I/II in the Department of Media and Communication [Ref. B/243/09]

 

Duties

Assist in the management and operation of the audio/video equipment and broadcasting systems (including a 3D virtual studio, a television news studio and a video editing laboratory); provide visual media editing, administrative and operational support for teaching-related activities; and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 2 years’ relevant working experience.  A Bachelor’s degree or above in new media and television broadcasting is preferred.  Good knowledge of and skills in AV production arts and multimedia software (e.g. the operation of 3D virtual studio, television news studio and various 2-4K digital cameras); experience in using Final Cut Pro, Premiere, Audition, After Effects, and InDesign; and good command of written and spoken English are required.  Proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage. 

Candidates with more than 6 years’ relevant post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Audio-Visual Assistant I.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
