Chief Technical Officer (Projects) in the Campus Development Office [Ref. A/454/09]

 

Duties

Implement capital development programmes and various AA&I projects; oversee building services installation; report on matters related to infrastructure and renewal, campus master plan, design standards, feasibility studies, annual capital project submissions, procurement of fixture, furniture and equipment; and perform any other duties as assigned.

The appointee is required to perform shift duties and work irregular hours (including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays).

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering/Architecture or related disciplines, a valid safety training course certificate (commonly known as “Green Card”), and at least 10 years’ relevant experience.  Candidates are expected to be self-motivated for performance enhancement, with proven ability to complete tasks within tight project schedules, as well as good analytical and interpersonal skills.  Experience in building development and large-scale building project execution in Hong Kong and Mainland China, and/or experience in higher education institutions; practical knowledge of managing government subvention projects, and ability to use AutoCAD and Revit are preferred.

Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Technical Officer (Projects).

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
