Executive Officer I/II in the School of Data Science [Ref. A/443/09]

 

Duties

  1. Responsible for public relations and communications matters to enhance visibility, branding and corporate images of the School of Data Science (SDSC) and Hong Kong Institute for Data Science (HKIDS);
  2. Assist in logistics support for promotional activities and public relations;
  3. Manage websites and social media accounts;
  4. Assist to prepare promotional materials, speeches, newsletters and write-ups for media publicity;
  5. Manage the academic/delegation visits for SDSC;
  6. Support School’s admission and outreaching activities;
  7. Manage student-related promotional campaign and events;
  8. Support internationalization by establishing and managing student exchange programmes and study abroad activities;
  9. Develop and manage career development schemes, placements and internship programmes;
  10. Provide committee services; and
  11. Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Communications/Marketing/Translation or related disciplines with at least 2 years’ working experience, preferably in the higher education sector. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good organizational and communication skills; and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines are required. 

Candidates with more than 7 years’ relevant post qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
