Associate Director (at the rank of Assistant Registrar) in the Alumni Relations Office [Ref. A/295/09]

 

Duties

The appointee will be a member of the senior management team of the Office, and play a key role in planning and implementing alumni initiatives to promote stakeholder relations and strengthen alumni giving.  The appointee will be required to develop fundraising initiatives; identify, cultivate, solicit and steward alumni giving in support of the University development; foster partnership with alumni leaders and stakeholders through data mining, research, strategic communication as well as programmes and events that are in alignment with the University's strategic development.  The appointee may also be required to work outside office hours and travel outside Hong Kong occasionally.

Requirements

A good honours degree, with at least 15 years' post-qualification experience (preferably in stakeholder engagement in sizable organisations).  Ability to develop prospect research and fundraising initiatives; excellent teamwork, management, communication and leadership skills; and excellent written and spoken English and Chinese are required.  Experience in alumni development, fundraising, and managing projects is preferred.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and housing benefits (where applicable).
