Clerical Officer II in the Department of Electronic Engineering [Ref. A/238/09]


Duties

Assist in general administration of the General Office, programme management, student and examination matters; organize publicity and student activities; prepare departmental publications and newsletters; conduct sourcing and purchasing; provide clerical support to academic staff; and perform any other duties as assigned.  Job rotation may be arranged.



Requirements

5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 3 years’ relevant working experience.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; ability to use Microsoft Office, Chinese word-processing, Access/FoxPro and Photoshop, and work effectively and efficiently in a team and under pressure against tight schedule are required.  Candidates should be pleasant, outgoing, self-motivated with energetic personalities, attentive to details, and have good interpersonal and communication skills.  Knowledge of Putonghua is preferred.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.



Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
