Communications Manager in the Communications and Public Relations Office [Ref. D/226/09]

 

Duties

We are looking for high caliber candidates to plan and implement branding and promotion activities for the University.  The appointee will be responsible for planning and devising media relations strategies/promotional programmes, and social media promotion/engagement strategies for brand building.

Requirements

A good honours degree in Journalism/Communications/Marketing or related disciplines, with at least 10 years’ post-qualification experience in public relations, corporate communications or journalism.  Candidates should have proven track record in planning and executing media relations, branding and marketing programmes, and social media applications.  Good ability in drafting articles, speeches and promotional materials within short turnaround time is required.  Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), capacity to work independently and under pressure, and the ability to perform diversified duties are expected.  Knowledge of higher education in Hong Kong and solid experience in managing branding/marketing projects for a sizeable corporation would be an advantage.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
