Duties

The appointee will deliver the Veterinary Nursing and Animal Care related professional education programmes offered by the School, including teaching, developing and coordinating student work placements, and related clinical skills tutorship following the guidance of the academic lead, health and safety guidelines.  S/he will also liaise with different host centres as the placement coordinator, coordinate and conduct placement assessment monitoring and review.

Working on weekends and/or evenings will be required.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Nursing/Natural Science or related disciplines, with working experience as veterinary nurse or assistant in the veterinary or animal care industry.  Candidates with Veterinary Nursing qualifications such as UK Diploma Level 3 and Australia Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing are preferred.  A solid connection within the industry would be an added advantage.

Candidates with 4 years’ appropriate full-time postgraduate teaching experience may be considered for appointment as Instructor I.

Salary and Conditions of Service

The remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.  The appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
