Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (Housing Studies) in the Department of Public Policy [Ref. C/389/09]

Duties

Play a key teaching role in the professionally accredited MA in Housing Studies and undergraduate Housing and Urban Studies streams.  The appointee is also expected to be an active researcher and contribute to the broader intellectual project of the Department in terms of publications, seminars, workshops and research proposals.



Requirements

A PhD in related disciplines with ability to teach and conduct research in housing studies and urban studies.  Evidence of teaching ability including student evaluations and proven ability to produce high quality publications are required.  For appointment at Associate Professor level, a substantial track record of published research in internationally recognized outlets is expected.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance.  Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable).  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
