The appointee will work in one of the areas described above, and is expected to conduct quality research, teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, develop curriculum, supervise students, and undertake administrative and service-related activities.
A PhD in related disciplines, with a strong research track record (relative to career stage) and broad university-level teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates with background in second language writing, English for academic purposes and related areas, discourse analysis, or any other of the Department's areas of research strength.
The appointees will have the opportunity to contribute to research initiatives in these and complementary fields, and to join a team of highly productive and motivated scholars.
Candidates for Professor/Associate Professor are also expected to provide leadership in research, teaching and curriculum development.
Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be normally made on a fixed-term contract.
