Instructor I/II in the Chan Feng Men-ling Chan Shuk-lin English Language Centre [Ref. B/251/09]

Applications are invited for the above post:


Duties

  1. Teach University English language courses;
  2. Contribute to curriculum design and materials development;
  3. Contribute to ELT-related projects, services and activities; and
  4. Take up an area of responsibility (such as course coordination or service/activity support).



Requirements

A Master’s degree/good honours degree, preferably in Applied Linguistics/TESOL-related fields, with a relevant postgraduate TESOL qualification (e.g. a Dip ED specializing in TESOL or the Cambridge RSA DELTA), and at least 2 years’ post TESOL qualification teaching experience at secondary level or above.  Candidates with substantial experience in teaching EAP at tertiary level and proven experience in the development of materials in face-to-face and technology-mediated modes are preferred.


Salary and Conditions of Service

The remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
