The following is issued on behalf of the Housing Authority The Housing Authority's Building Committee today (Thursday) endorsed the Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) development in Tseung Kwan O Area 59 Phase One and Phase Two. A Housing Authority spokesman said the project in Phase One comprised four Harmony HOS blocks providing 2,432 flats, a day creche and kindergarten. In Phase Two, the plan included three Harmony HOS blocks providing 1,824 flats, a kindergarten, quarters and a nursery. The whole development will be completed within 27 months. Members also approved the tender for the Redevelopment of Lam Tin Estate Phase Four. The tender included the construction of three Harmony domestic blocks providing 2,277 flats and one annex Harmony blocks supplying 160 flats. Other facilities comprised 197 packing spaces and housing for senior citizens. Another tender approved was for the construction of Tung Chung Area 10 Phase Three. The project consisted of a commercial centre, community facilities, a clinic and four schools which provides services to residents in Phase One and Two. The Building Committee also endorsed a tender for the construction of Housing for Small Households at Pak Tin Street. The plan involved 165 number of small housed units, 128 number of Senior Citizen Housing units and a day care centre for the Elderly. A tender for the improvement works for Choi Wan Estate was also endorsed in the meeting.
