The following is issued on behalf of the Housing Authority : Members of the Housing Authority and its standing committees informally discussed various issues relating to the review of Home Ownership Scheme (HOS)and Private Sector Participation Scheme(PSPS)at a brain-storming session today (Saturday). The HOS/PSPS review was proposed by the Authority's Home Ownership Committee and the Legislative Council in May this year. "Today's session provides a forum for a free exchange of views among HA members and officials from the Housing Department and Housing Branch on all related aspects of the review," said a spokesman for the Authority. "Useful feedback from members has been collected and will be taken into consideration by the Department in the review," he noted. "No decisions have been reached on any issue at this stage," he said, adding that detailed proposals will be made to the Authority's Home Ownership Committee and other relevant standing committees. The findings of the overall review will be submitted to the Housing Authority and reported to the Legislative Council in due course. End/Saturday, November 4, 1995 NNNN |
