The Housing Authority's Building Committee today (Thursday) endorsed the public rental housing development in Tseung Kwan O Area 59 Phase Three and Phase Four.

A Housing Authority spokesman said the project in Phase
Three comprised three Harmony domestic blocks providing 2,221 flats with an estate management office on the ground floor.

In Phase Four, the plan includes two Harmony domestic blocks providing 1,518 flats and a new Harmony Annex Block supplying 160 flats.

The committee also approved the scheme design and project budget for the redevelopment of Un Chau Street Estate Phase Three.

The scheme includes three Harmony One blocks providing 2,397 rental flats and a commercial centre. The centre will accommodate 3,676 square metres net retail spaces on the ground and first floors.

One Housing for Senior Citizens block with 197 bed- sitting rooms will be built on the top of the commercial centre. Other facilities in the centre include a child care centre, a social centre for the elderly, a kindergarten and a footbridge linking with Phase One.

Another tender approved was for the redevelopment of Wang Tau Hom Estate Phase 12.

The construction work consists of one 4-storey office podium, one and a half levels of basement carpark supplying 160 parking spaces and two footbridges.

Another tender endorsed at the meeting was the foundation for Lai Yiu Estate Infill Site. A non-standard domestic housing block for small household will be constructed.

A tender for the piling for Po Lam Estate Infil Site was also endorsed. The project includes the construction of a 21-storey small households housing, one multi-purpose hall and a footbridge.
